Accounting Analyst

For our HQ in Europe; The Netherlands we are looking for a Accounting Analyst. You are responsible for ensuring the completion of month end schedule in accordance with IFRS and aligned with Group accounting policy, compliance with the applicable internal controls in accordance with PCAOB requirements and work in process improvements. You will support different areas on a daily basis, such as, Tax team, tax management, performance management, chemical and feedstock team with accounting evaluation of new and on going operations. 

Key Accountabilities:

Ensure:

  • Prepare and ensure the completion of month end closing.
  • Preparing reconciliation and GL account analysis.
  • The compliance with the applicable international and local GAAP`s.
  • The compliance with the applicable Internal and SOX controls.
  • Focal point with External auditors.
  • Delivery of the information required by the external auditors (PBC) and internal areas.

  • Prepare work instruction, review procedures and update accounting policies.
    Work with the leader in developing automatization and process improvement.
  • Assist the other departments and evaluate accounting impacts for new projects. 
  • Ensure the correct accounting test in new projects.

  • Corporate accounting team

  • Accounts payables and receivables 

    Technical/Management Knowledge:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business management, Economics or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of industries accounting experience or audit experience
  • Fluency in English, written and orally (Dutch is a plus)
  • Advanced skills in Excel 
  • Experience with ERP system (SAP is a plus)
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting International Accounting Standards
  • Excellent communication skills and service orientation
  • Analytical, hands-on, result driven and taking initiatives and ownership to drive changes.
  • Financial modeling and analytical skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion
