What you will do

You will be part of the festival app team called Appmiral. This team is the European leader in Premium white-label event applications for festivals and sports events. Our app portfolio includes some of greatest festivals on the planet, think Tomorrowland, Zwarte Cross, Roskilde, Creamfields, Download, Dutch GP (F1) and around 150 more awesome names.

As an Android Engineer, you will help us develop and maintain our high quality and user friendly mobile event app platform.

In addition, you will be involved in the ongoing review of the Appmiral’s delivery and automation processes. As we ship over 200 applications each year, we want this process to be as smooth as possible.

Your daily responsibilities are:

• Support and develop on our rebrandable android app framework, used by millions of users each year;
• Extending the framework with new, reusable views, features and integrations
• Writing clean and maintainable code;
• Making sure the codebase is kept up to date, with yearly android updates and new best practices;
• Working with the team to refine new features and concepts;
• Validating and testing new features and implementations before releasing them.

You connect with us, if you

• Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or similar;
• 2+ years experience with native android development, with strong knowledge of Kotlin and Java;
• Experience with Android frameworks like Jetpack, Play Services and Retrofit;
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming and common technologies such as HTTP, REST, JSON, Oauth;
• Bonus points if you have experience with any of the following programming languages: Ruby, Python, Javascript;
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment;
• You are fluent in English, Dutch is a plus. 
• Available for 4-5 days per week;
• Experience with Salesforce, Notion or Totango is a plus;
• Are located within travel distance to our HQ in Breda or Amsterdam, or our office in Mechelen, Belgium.
