Location/Division Specific Information
The Visualization and Data Solutions Business Unit (VDS BU) provides analytical digital solutions to accelerate innovation and productivity across research and industrial laboratories. This includes advanced visualization and analysis software for understanding 2D-5D bioimaging sample and materials structures and properties; 3D visualization and image analysis toolkit and collaborative imaging data management platform for traceability of image-based scientific experiments.
The position is in our Eindhoven office in the Netherlands. You will report to Jérôme Hummel, director Product Management.
How you will make an Impact?
As an Application Development Engineer, the expansiveness of your role will allow you to play a pivotal part in working on ground-breaking technology for devices that make the world a healthier, cleaner, and safer place. In this role you will have an opportunity to collaborate with other teams such as R&D, Product Marketing, and sales as well as scientists to build something from inception to first customer shipment. Development is done in multi-disciplinary teams across multiple sites. This role provides the opportunity to grow within the product management team as a domain authority or people leader as well as across the Thermo Fisher organization. Furthermore, you will build a network with internal and external community of specific scientific domains such as Semiconductors, Life Science or Material Science through collaborations with early and leading customers and help shape the future of advanced methods by your direct contribution to the development of new software solutions.
What will you do?
Collaborate and network extensively with external customers (including end users and engineering project companies), and internal partners, including: Commercial team, Marketing team, Senior Management, Project Managers and Engineers, Customers & industry representatives to develop new solutions in the semiconductor, materials science and life science domain!

How will you get here?
This position is ideal for an experienced computer scientist with strong expertise in image processing and data analysis. Skills in visualization and materials characterization or EM pre or post processing techniques is a plus.
Qualification?
Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science with experience in image processing techniques.
