The project:
Based in the Netherlands and representing the client, Mace, in a Joint Venture (JV) are undertaking a commercial and delivery role on a major infrastructure project , undertaking construction and enhancement works to expand capacity in the final phase of a significant investment project. The works will see the completion of a leading environmental building that provides aesthetic facilities for users. With an ambitious construction deadline, Mace, as part of the JV, is placing emphasis on relationships and trust to drive the construction contractor to own the schedule and its associated costs to meet the client’s requirement for the building to be open in mid-2027. It is essential that we provide high levels of oversight and assurance to ensure the cost and commercial aspects of the project are met and that any time related issues are responded to fully with a commercial position in mind. Modern methods of construction and industry innovations are also helping to speed up delivery, with the added benefits of supporting the client’s commitment to be net zero carbon by 2038 and minimising impact on the client’s operations – which must continue as normal throughout.

You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
You will direct preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses to achieve formal execution by appropriate parties.
You will proactively identify costing associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges, and present these to clients.
Administering the UAV contract between the client and the contractor
Writing reports, auditing the contractor and its sub-contractors, compiling business cases and writing procurement reports as required.
