Associate Director, IT - Supply Planning (Chicago or Netherlands)

This position requires both strategic and tactical skills, ideal for someone that has an appetite for a global challenge while being accountable for delivering key capabilities for individual Kraft Heinz Business Units.

As the Associate Director IT- Supply Chain, you will manage the Control Tower and External Collaboration capabilities across teams. The role has a dual focus as the Global Functional Owner and the Business Relationship Manager (BRM).

As the Global Functional Owner, you will lead and ensure delivery of globally-owned IT platforms and systems. As the BRM, you will work closely with Supply Chain partners in all geographies, collaborating to identify and drive value, and support projects that meet the direct needs of our Supply Chain Planning teams. The role will collaborate with senior partners in IT and the business functions to define priorities, design solution roadmaps, and ensure successful delivery of projects in alignment with the plan. You will own or collaborate in the delivery of multiple sophisticated projects across multiple geographies simultaneously.

This person will own and lead the underlying Control Tower technical platforms. Additionally, the person will lead defining and governing how the platform integrates with the broader KCH solutions set across SAP, OTM, OMP, o9, Snowflake, and many other platforms.

This role reports to the Head of IT, Supply Chain Planning Capabilities, and includes direct management of individuals responsible for delivering the agenda.

Summary

  • Own and/or partner in the end-to-end delivery of Supply Chain Planning programs and projects across KHC.

  • Own, lead, and govern underlying technical platforms underpinning Supply Chain Control Towers.

  • Develop mid- and long-term IT strategy aligned with business goals and IT functional ambitions.

  • Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships in all KHC Geographies.

  • Maintain the relationship with third-party providers (including, but not limited to, IBM, Infosys, EY, and Microsoft ) for day-to-day project activities and future strategic relationships.

  • Act as the key point of contact for critical issues for the project and related activities.

  • Drive delivery performance management: review metrics and lead performance against agreed targets.

  • Cultivate an environment of operational excellence and innovation.

  • Own the project budgets (> $15MM) and decisions, including resourcing and investments.

  • Identify the impact of the organization’s vision and strategy on the established IT strategy and ensure consistency across focus areas.

  • See opportunities to use AI and Automation to drive efficiencies and improve outcomes.

  • Experience and Skills

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Experience leading large, complex projects across multiple geographies.

  • Advanced exposure to technology platform management.

  • Experience leading and establishing teams (virtually preferred) with excellent mentor capabilities.

  • A comprehensive understanding of the supply chain ecosystem

  • Proficiency in supply chain technologies, including WMS, TMS and ERP Systems.

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making

  • Experience in change management - preferably in a mixed outsourced and insourced environment.

  • Experience in working with 3rd party service providers of multiple types (functional, strategic, operations)

  • Deductive reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Prior experience of enabling and inspiring change with a high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity to enable and influence change in a multi-national environment

  • Customer Centric: Internal/External customer management capabilities

  • Consistent track record of working successfully in a matrix environment, ideally in a leadership role

  • Experience in engaging with multicultural and multifunctional teams

  • Desirable

  • Have worked with SAP and related applications in both the Supply Chain Planning space and related ERP components.

  • Experience leading or actively participating in continuous improvement projects from idea generation to implementation

  • Experience implementing a Decision Intelligence Platform

  • FMCG experience

  • Experience working with real-time data processing

  • Evidence of strong management and leadership abilities, particularly in building and leading a team
