Functieomschrijving

• As a Senior Automation Engineer, you'llbe instrumental in ensuring the construction and commissioning ofadvanced naval vessels with fully functional automated systems thatmeet rigorous regulations and standards.
• You'll craft automation concepts for intricateprocesses, covering a diverse array of onboardsystems.
• Depending on thevessel's configuration, your designs may encompass criticaldefensive and deterrent systems.
• Your work will empower crew members to monitorand control all ship systems seamlessly.
• Operating within our 3DExperience engineeringenvironment, you'll adhere to the V-model, overseeing the thoroughreview, testing, and verification of designs throughout the projectlifecycle.
• Your effortsculminate in the deployment of a new naval vessel, poised tosafeguard our freedoms worldwide.
• Developing functional descriptions andengineering documentation for automated shipsystems.
• Creating andmaintaining specification documents for automation components andinstallation procedures.
•Drafting comprehensive test and validation plans to ensurecompliance with regulations and customer requirements duringvirtual and real-world testing phases.
• Managing vendors and subcontractors to ensuretimely project contributions.
•Reviewing and integrating vendor and subcontractor designs intovessel designs.
• Establishingstandards and methodologies for detailed engineering andcommissioning.
• Providingtechnical support and commissioning activities for contractedprojects.

Functie-eisen

• 5+ years of experience designing andimplementing complex automation systems (PLC/SCADA), preferably inmaritime, offshore, or industrial settings.
• Proven experience in complex projects involvingmultidisciplinary teams and multiplesuppliers/subcontractors.
•Familiarity with model-based system engineering (MBSE) inaccordance with the V-model.
•A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, TechnicalAutomation, Electrical Engineering, or a relatedfield.
• Strong references, aspre-employment security screening is standard.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passportrequired.
