Your role at Genmab
The Business Applications Engineer will be part of the Business Application Management (BAM) team within the Global IT department, based out of Utrecht, Netherlands. In this role, you will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure continued steady state operations of such business applications. That is what it means to work as Business Applications Engineer at Genmab. We are currently in a growing phase. That is where you come in in this new role and where you will realize our growth ambitions. You proactively work with Genmab stakeholders, you will implement new applications and technology platforms. You will ensure that they work seamlessly and create new functionality to suit business needs from the labs to the offices. In general, you will:
Serve as a technical lead for multiple IT applications (i.e., R&D software applications such as LIMS LabVantage, ELN, SDMS, etc.). Must possess a strong ability to balance structure & discipline with agility in the support of solutionsAbility to triage, process, communicate, escalate, and resolve assigned application-related tickets using Service Now or similar solution(s)Responsible for managing day-to-day user cases, including (but not limited to) new user requests, resolution of systems issues, and troubleshooting of various business applicationsContribute to all phases of solution delivery and support: identification, evaluation, implementation, testing, and support to meet and exceed business requirementsStrong experience in liaising and managing third party vendor managed services where required to support the application portfolio and integration layer. Experience with KPI performance monitoring and SLA management across internal service desk and support vendorsInteract and partner with business users, infrastructure teams, and security/QA in the operation and maintenance of business applications across several business unitsKeep the application system landscape (ASL) up to dateAdvise, inform, and support the application system owners and super-users within Genmab and act as a first line of support for the business users for business application related issues or requestsWork within the GxP regulatory framework and update the relevant documentation following applicable departmental proceduresManage system maintenance logs, coordinate with the Change Manager/CAB and inform users about outages and planned maintenance windowsProvide periodic reports on tasks, monthly financial reports, and vendor issues/SLAs to the Business Application Management (BAM) LeadLead prioritization, categorization and remediation of any production deviations and CAPAsConduct root cause analysis, in collaboration with other cross-functional stakeholders to identify potential solutions to issues and to prevent future problems. Contribute to knowledge base articles, templates, reusable artifacts
This position reports into the Global Head of IT Business Application Management

Your new workplace is our modern attractive office and a wonderful place to be, with everything you need at your disposal. During Covid 19 the Business Application Engineer will mainly operate from home and maybe sometimes from the Head Quarters in Utrecht

A scientific/technical degree level qualification (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science).Approximately 5 years’ experience coordinating application-based activities within a life science focused organizationDemonstrated history of successfully working with business users. Ability to effectively interpret a business problem into a technical solution and articulate it back to the business stakeholdersExperience of the Application Lifecycle Experience from initiation through to decommission for a broad range of business applicationsProven experience of agile management and DevOpsDemonstrated knowledge of the ITIL framework and working in a ticket/SLA based environment (ServiceNow, JIRA, Service Manager etc.)Experience working with GxP regulations, procedures. Particularly around change management, period reviews, internal auditsExtensive experience in both structured and agile SDLC methodologiesConceptual and analytical thinker; able to understand, analyze, and synthesize complex business and technology issues and strategiesYou have a passion for creating a flawless customer experienceA desire and drive for continuous learningYou have excellent English language skills in speaking and writing at a professional business level
