This role places you at the strategic center of our operations, where you'll manage and optimize supplier relationships and procurement to ensure top-tier service delivery to our international clientele.

Working under the C-level, you'll be a key player to our management team, driving forward our logistics solutions.

This role is based in the Rotterdam area.

Tasks

You will lead by example, promoting best practices, optimizing spend, and co-creating impactful strategies with key stakeholders for achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure capacity, service levels, and competitive pricing.
• Strategically negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and suppliers, optimizing cost and efficiency.
• Analyze and monitor performance, ensuring compliance with service agreements and operational standards.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers to expand our network and capabilities, incorporating the latest in logistics innovations.
• Foster a collaborative environment, aligning procurement objectives with business goals across various department.
• Implement and refine procurement strategies within the logistics framework, ensuring agility and resilience in our supply chain solutions.

Requirements

You are a motivated procurement, carrier or category specialist and possess:

• At least 4 years in a logistics-focused procurement role, you have a deep understanding of carrier management, especially in intermodal container and trailer transportation.
• Your higher educational background in logistics/business or a related field has equipped you with solid project management skills and the ability to make strategic decisions based on data.
• You are a strong, dynamic team player with excellent communication skills, proficient in MS Office, and fluent in English, Dutch is plus.
• A proactive mindset, with a passion for conceptualizing and executing transformative strategies.
