Certification Engineer

### What will you do?

As a Certification Engineer at Victron Energy, you help ensure our products meet international safety, EMC, radio, environmental, and sustainability requirements. You work closely with colleagues from Hardware, Software, Supplier Quality, EMS, Product Management, and R\&D to bring compliant products to markets around the world.

Your responsibilities include:

* Managing certification activities for electrical and electronic products.

* Coordinating testing and certification projects with external laboratories and certification bodies.

* Reviewing technical documentation, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), test reports, and compliance evidence.

* Assessing product modifications and determining their impact on existing certifications.

* Preparing and maintaining technical files, declarations of conformity, and certification documentation.

* Supporting conformity assessments, risk analyses, and regulatory reviews.

* Ensuring products are correctly labeled and meet applicable regulatory requirements.

* Monitoring changes in regulations and standards and translating them into practical actions for product teams.

* Advising engineering teams throughout the product development process on compliance requirements.

You will work with regulations and standards such as:

* CE Marking

* EMC Directive (2014/30/EU)

* Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU)

* Radio Equipment Directive (RED) (2014/53/EU)

* EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542

* FCC Part 15

* ISED RSS Series

* IEC, EN, UL, and ISO standards

* International grid code requirements

You will also support environmental and sustainability compliance, including REACH, RoHS, POPs, TSCA, PFAS, California Proposition 65, and responsible sourcing requirements.
