Data & Digital Specialist Flow Control
As a Data & Digital Specialist you will be a key-player within ERIKS’ product group Flow Controle. The D&D Specialist manages data quality, provides insights, and contributes to innovative E-solutions (like product management systems or configurators) related to ERIKS’s international assortment.
The D&D specialist is part of the Centers of Expertise, dedicated to improving customer experience in Europe. The D&D Specialist will collaborate with several departments within ERIKS like the Master Data team by providing them guidance regarding data definitions, governance, and analysis, but also with ERIKS Digital by helping them to develop innovative E-Business Solutions, by determining priorities and setting-up specifications. Besides these departments the D&D Specialist will also provide insights based on his/her data-analysis to Sales, Procurement and Compliance.
The ideal candidate is active and open, knows how to work independently, has a keen eye for detail and possesses strong data analytical and communication skills.
In core, the responsibilities of the D&D specialist can be divided in three major activities:
> Data quality: maintaining and improving data quality, to ensure ERIK’s data and technical information is up to date in collaboration with MDM;
> Data analyses: providing support with the development of statistical data and analysis of product and assortment sales.
> Projects: leading strategic projects aimed at improving data organization, governance, and system transitions.
Aspects of the job
Data Collection Suppliers : Ensuring product information is obtained from our suppliers, including compliance documents for mandatory labelling/classification (CE marking, product class, origin/material/safety specifications).
Data Management: Collecting, organizing, and ensuring the accuracy of data to maintain high-quality databases. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Data Analysis: Analyzing and interpreting data from various sources to provide valuable insights that inform decision-making processes.
Digital Transformation: Leading and/or contributing to projects that involve digital transformation, which may include implementing new technologies, systems, or platforms to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
System Integration: Working with various digital systems, such as ERP and SAP to ensure seamless integration and data flow between different organizational functions.
Data Visualization: Using tools like Power BI to present data in a visually compelling and easily understandable manner, facilitating better decision-making for stakeholders.
Project Management: Leading or participating in projects related to data optimization, system upgrades, and digital initiatives.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicating and collaborating with different departments to align data and digital strategies with overall business objectives. For example: Coordinating the product master data requirements with the product specialists which are spread over business units in Europe.
Criteria
Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing data using tools such as SAP and Excel, with a keen eye for detail.
Project Leadership: Ability to lead and manage projects, with a focus on improving data-related processes.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders across different departments, translating technical information to business terms. Fluent in English and preferably in Dutch, French or German.
Adaptability: Find solutions in an environment with varied and sometimes unstructured processes.
Empathy: Possess empathy and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a track record of success in a technical environment.
Education: Bachelor / master’s degree.
