Data Engineer
As a data engineer at Brand New Day you will be part of a brand new data team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing different data sources, and make them available for internal users. Your main focus will be on engineering, but you’ll have a leading say in designing the architecture and data governance. You understand how this design impacts the requirements of the platform, and are able to implement these accordingly. Together with your collegues, of course.
What will you do as data engineer?
The platform you will be working on is quite new, so there are plenty of projects to pick up. We are moving more and more data to Azure, we use Azure Databricks and dbt, we have built Synapse pipelines and data flows, and offer dashboards and reports to various departments. This is the field you’ll dive into.
Your team mates gather all requirements within our organization. Once priorities have been discussed, the team decides on the best solutions and architecture to meet these needs. Incrementally and in continuous communication with stakeholders, you’ll make data play an even more important (and understood) part within Brand New Day.
So who are you joining?
We are Brand New Day, a financial odd-one-out in the Netherlands. We are young, bold and have been growing like weeds for 14 years. Your data team consists of an Azure Specialist, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, and an Application Specialist. It’s a small team, which allows us to communicate and act swiftly.
