Job Description:

As our Data Engineer you will work on the conception and development and of sleek integration solutions in the a SQL Server environment. Together with the small team you will maintain, and plan, design and implement changes to the ETL solutions connecting the supported systems to the rest of the bank. Additionally, together with the team you will be responsible for the operational process. This includes monitoring and maintaining the daily automated processes and fix issues that may they arise.

With your technical experience you will be able to be a valuable contributor to finding efficient and feasible solutions when changes in data processing are required. You are a sparring partner for business stakeholders and other colleagues, with whom you implement data solutions. Above all, you understand the importance of data to clients and our organization. With your enthusiasm and willingness to learn you will contribute towards the future business needs.

As a Data Warehouse Engineer, we expect you to:

  • Have analytics capabilities to resolve operational incidents
  • Manage and lead small implementation and delivery projects
  • Automate and optimize various processes within the domain
  • Reach out to the end-user to gather requirements for (expected) changes to our Reporting System
  • Provide advice and guidance to business stakeholders and other colleagues regarding the use and processing of data
  • Work with the team on their journey towards DevOps (e.g., CI/CD)
  • Take part in knowledge sharing sessions

    The main responsibility of the team you will joining is the support of an OSX installation for Financial and Regulatory reporting. You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of the background and intention of these reports. This will motivate the functional requirements of the supported processes.

    Within the team we work Agile/Kanban, which means the team consist out of a product owner and a team of business analysts and developers. Within our team you will be able to motivate and independently organize your tasks. You will assist team members and take the lead on technical issues, while you can learn and develop you financial background. In this domain there is a balance between external requirements that are scheduled and predictable, but deadlines that are quite hard. You will safeguard and improve the DevOps practices in the team to meet these challenges.

    Within the Finance IT Domain as a Data Engineer you are part of a product team. In a product team there are several competences present, like Application Managers, Business Analysts and Developers. The IT Finance Domain consists of colleagues with different ages, nationalities and backgrounds.   • What do you bring?

  • A relevant IT-related bachelor's or master’s degree 
  • At least 5 years of experience with data processes on the Microsoft Stack (SQL Server, SQL / SSIS / Visual Studio )
  • Experience with data modeling and data integration
  • Experience using DevOps tools (git, deployment tools etc.)
  • Experience with OSX is preferred
  • Experience in working in an Agile environment
  • Fluent English
