The opportunity:
Are you ready to take on a dynamic role in our IT/Data team? Sakura Finetek Europe BV is looking for a tech savvy Data Engineer to join our innovative team.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data architecture and pipelines. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and accessibility for analytics and business intelligence purposes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with specific experience in Data Warehousing and Oracle Cloud platforms.
You report directly to the Manager IT and work closely together with your IT colleagues and other stakeholders in our organization. Together we’ll further develop and expand our data driven approach with the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement best practices for data modeling, storage, and retrieval to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure the reliability and scalability of data systems.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering to drive continuous improvement.
- Perform business process gap analysis and manage requirement change.
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
We perfectly match if you have
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Passion for technology. Shows technical and creative knowledge and expertise, regarding work. New knowledge is acquired rapidly and follows developments in the field.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role(+5 years).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Oracle Cloud, and related services (e.g., Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Data Integrator).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written skills of Dutch and English.
and will be a nice plus if you...
- Have experience with Oracle Cloud Reporting.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Experience with TimeXtender for data modeling, integration, and automation.
