Job Description
As a pulse programming developer within the MR R&D department, you have the opportunity to contribute to Magnetic Resonance (MR) pulse sequence development, working with an international team of software and hardware developers to innovate and improve Clinical MR Applications.
Your role:
Innovate, specify, prototype, proof feasibility and value, design, engineer, test, and document pulse sequence acquisition algorithms for our clinical MRI application portfolio with emphasis on clinical functionality, image quality and usability.
Bringing clinical MR features from research stage through advanced development to the market.
Delivering product quality software and documentation at standards for the medical device industry.
Investigation of root causes of customer complaints
Contributing to regulatory clearance of new products
Operating in a strong cross-functional setting across globally distributed business disciplines, like hardware, software, system integration and verification, marketing, and product application.
Maintaining and sharing knowledge on innovation of MR physics applications.
Contributing to invention disclosures
Your team
You will be part of the Business Unit (BU) Magnetic Resonance (MR) within , a leading supplier for diagnostic imaging technology in hospitals. The BU MR is responsible for marketing product development and lifecycle management of the entire clinical MRI portfolio.
Within the BU you will join the global R&D MR Domain SW team consisting of ~80 engineers including MR physicists, biomedical engineers, reconstruction experts and software engineers.
You will work within the scanning (sub)team located in Best, Netherlands, consisting of engineers with a broad experience in MR imaging and spectroscopy in clinical radiology environments or SW Engineering background. All committed to developing robust sequences which work every time, for every patient.
You're the right fit if you have:
Qualifications:
Post-graduate degree (master’s or PhD) in Physics, (Biomedical) Engineering, or MR related science, 3+ years’ experience in MRI
In-depth understanding of MR physics and pulse sequences, either during PhD or within the medical devices industry
Experience:
Proven experience in adapting pulse sequence software implementations with relevant programming languages, such as C++ ,Python or any other Object Oriented Programming (OOPs)
Image Quality assessment
Hands-on experience with MRI equipment and clinical MR applications (preferably in a clinical environment)
Experience in Healthcare Industry is an advantage.
Personal characteristics:

Excellent communication skills (English language)
Collaborate and interact effectively in multidisciplinary teams
Ability to perform in a complex and highly regulated environment
Manage time and able to prioritize work
Willing to take risks in order to create advanced concepts through fast prototyping, and able to engineer these prototypes into solid product designs.
