Director Digitalisation & Data

The Director of Digitalisation & Data at Vebego Group holds the responsibility for overseeing the IT strategy, architecture and security, with the goal of ensuring alignment with the company's long-term objectives and business needs. This role directly reports to the Chief Value Officer (CVO) and leads the Manager IT and collaborates closely with the IT & Data responsible of the companies.

Your challenge as Director Digitalisation & Data

You will be the driving force behind our IT strategy, architecture, and security. Reporting directly to our Chief Value Officer (CVO), you will be responsible for ensuring that our IT systems are not only aligned with our business objectives but also optimized for performance, efficiency, and security from a group perspective. You will work closely with our subsidiary companies, understanding their IT needs and translating them into actionable IT solutions.

As our Director of Digitalisation & Data, you focus on the following responsibilities:

Strategy and Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT architecture and security strategy
  • Assess IT architecture, infrastructure, and systems for performance and operational efficiency
  • Oversee security measures for systems, networks, and data
  • Involve, coach, empower and appreciate employees, ensuring adequate staffing, absenteeism counselling, file building and interview cycle, in accordance with policy.
  • Create an open and safe working environment that is supportive, enabling and entrepreneurial.

    • Operational Excellence

  • Lead and facilitate the ITAB (IT advisory board) with the purpose of establishing a common IT strategy and build a strategic plan how to achieve the target groupwide IT.
  • Create and implement policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance, security, and ethical use of technology.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with technological implementations and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Promote the adoption of innovative technologies that enhance operational efficiency and drive competitive advantage.
  • Facilitate IT security audits and investigations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.

    • Innovation and Collaboration

  • Establish a Straight Through Processing (STP) approach and mindset across group functions’ needs.
  • Drive using AI, modern interfacing technologies and cloud based solutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders in the business to understand the business needs and translate this into IT solutions.

  • You have completed a relevant Master education (IT, information management, or business administration) and gained at least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • You are a team player with proven leadership skills and you have the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • You have a balance of strategic vision and analytical capabilities, you are a strong critical thinker and also a problem solver.
  • You are organizationally sensitive and you easily connect with the business side. You sense what is happening and what is needed.
  • It is important that you as Director Digitalisation & Data are familiar with culture and change processes.

  • You speak fluently Dutch or German and Business English.
