Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Security Architecture to lead the integration of security measures into our network products. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing security architecture strategies to safeguard our products against emerging threats and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and expertise in Layer 3 and Layer 7 firewalls, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Security Service Edge (SSE) technologies.
Job Scope:
Day to day, this role should be out with the software engineering, Core Network and SDN Engineering and Product teams helping guide and contribute to our in our mission of delivering ‘Greater Technology Together’.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of security architecture strategies for our network products, ensuring they meet industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and cybersecurity, to integrate security features and controls into our products.
Working with product teams, define security requirements and specifications for network products, ensuring they address potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Oversee the design and deployment of Layer 3 and Layer 7 firewalls to protect against unauthorized access and malicious activities.
Implement Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions to monitor and control access to cloud applications and data.
Utilize Security Service Edge (SSE) technologies to secure data transmissions and ensure data confidentiality and integrity.
Stay abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the cybersecurity landscape and recommend appropriate security measures and controls.
Provide leadership and mentorship to security architecture teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security architecture and design.
Proven track record of designing and implementing security architecture strategies for network products.
Extensive knowledge of Layer 3 and Layer 7 firewalls, including hands-on experience with leading firewall technologies.
Strong understanding of Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions and their role in cloud security.
Experience with Security Service Edge (SSE) technologies and their application in securing data transmissions.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate security concepts and requirements to diverse stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or CISM are highly desirable.
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred.
