What you will do
Key responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer include:
Maintain a defined level of reliability performance of our assets by providing day to day support, troubleshooting and recommendations, to Operations and Maintenance on electrical malfunctions and deficiencies
Drive asset improvement in the areas of: reliability, regulatory compliance, safety and environmental performance. This includes keeping our long term equipment strategies and site wide Preventive Maintenance program up-to-date, and support Maintenance with management of spare parts requests/stocking levels for electrical equipment.
Develop annual maintenance plans and turnaround scopes, participate in reviews at our site and in the EU region.
Perform in-depth root cause failure analysis on electrical equipment on request.
Provide support of projects in the areas of concept selection, design consulting, safety reviews, Technical Quality Assurance, commissioning and start-up assistance.
Documentation of changes, lessons learnt and actions taken to improve towards the future.
Develop and maintain technical standards and guidelines.
Support site in application of new technologies.

Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc, or Msc).
Preferably 5+ years professional experience – within an operating company (petrochemical, other heavy industry, a power company, or a network operator), a consultant engineering company, or an electrical equipment manufacturer.
Good general knowledge of major electrical equipment: switchgear, transformers, cables, motors.
Working knowledge of industry standards for electrical equipment, ATEX, and other NL or EU regulations.
Field experience in the manufacturing, commissioning and trouble shooting of electrical systems.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Preferably Dutch speaking, good knowledge of English
