About the job

Europe Operations Finance team cover the COGS reported under EU Zone; and mainly responsible for operations of Essential Dairy and Plant-based (EDP) Waters in Europe, including global brands such as Alpro and Evian. This scope covers approximately ~30 factories/supply points, and total COGS of ~ 5,9€ billion representing close to ~ 30% of total Danone company COGS.

This is where you come in. You will be responsible for managing the P&L performance and associated variance of stand-alone factories as well as supporting with COGS variance analysis for all factories in Europe.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Support EU Zone Operations Performance Animation : Collaborate with all EU Business Units (CBUs) and Regional Ops Finance teams to enhance operational performance.
  • Manage Closings Processes and Rolling Forecast (RF) Process : Take full responsibility for managing closing processes and RF (Request for) processes with regional Functional teams (Material, Manufacturing, and Logistics).
  • FP&A Contact for Centrally Managed P&L : Act as a key contact for centrally managed Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for end-to-end organizations (., Rotsellar SP, Alpro, EVW). Monitor deviations and initiate corrective actions in collaboration with the Finance Director (FD).
  • Prepare Key Monthly Performance Reviews : Assist in timely and comprehensive preparation of key monthly performance reviews.
  • Consolidate Other COGS Items : Manage and consolidate Other Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) items, including tracking and approval of value-in projects, recurring expenses, and exceptional events under Operations responsibility.
  • Ensure Process Execution and Standards : Coordinate proper execution of processes and adherence to standards within the Regional Ops Finance team.
  • Provide Analytical Support for Global Projects : Support financial calculations, variance analysis against standard costs, and specific performance analysis for the Dairy category. Facilitate decision-making by actively engaging with Operations teams and ensuring proper analytical support for global projects.
  • About You

    To be successful in this role, you are passionate about Finance in manufacturing and have a Business, Economics or Finance Master degree to support that. You are a data-driven and logical mind who has excellent analytical skills (Office tools, PowerBI, Magnitude, Tagetik and other financial modelling methods). You are challenged by creating value-adding business insights from complex data that enhance strategy and decision making. You thrive in a dynamic and commercial setting, where you constantly adapt and rise to the challenge and your action oriented mind leads you to actively drive continuous improvement. You are a natural communicator with strong analytical skills, creative and confident in managing a large and diverse range of stakeholders.

    Furthermore you have:

  • At least 3-4 years of solid business controlling/FP&A within large company (preferably FMCG)
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
