Within dsm-firmenich Biomedical, we are currently looking for a Formulation Technician for Drug Delivery, Medical Coatings and Polyethylene applications .

In this role, you will assure that dsm-firmenich Biomedical products are of consistent and high quality by: assuming responsibility for duties related to the support of existing drug delivery solutions and new product development activities, characterization of biomaterials and medical device materials, formulation development, development of pharmaceutical or combination device products or technologies in compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards. Besides this, you support within the flexible Technician Pool our Medical Coatings as well as our Polyethylene business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & execute testing and development of products, processes and technologies based on project needs;
  • Contribute to design and perform experimental campaigns in support of projects. Contribute to deliver results on time and within project budget;
  • Support multi-functional project teams;
  • Interact with various internal disciplines and competences;
  • Act as the interface between operations, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, application development and technical service. This will result in a broad network and multifunctional relationships.

  • Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 40,585 to € 63,931 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.

    • You Bring

  • Experience in wet lab activities, including formulation, analytical characterization & testing;
  • Related HBO degree or MBO degree with an experience in science, technology or equivalent;
  • Affinity to materials science and/or chemistry is considered a strong plus;
  • Highly developed skills working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally in highly quality systems governed fields (medical);
  • Strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and knowledge of quality system requirements in the medical device, combination products, or pharmaceutical industry (e.g., ISO13485, cGMP);
