As a Function Design Engineer for heavy-duty dieseland hydrogen engines, the role involves taking the lead indeveloping OBD/OBM-related control concepts, defining system-levelrequirements for software functionality. Key responsibilitiesinclude:

• Developing development plansfor necessary control updates related to new OBD/OBMregulations.
• Creating controller concepts fornew OBD requirements, including verification with SIL, HIL, or RCPon an engine.
• Documenting controllerrequirements on the engine system level withclarity.
• Supporting calibration engineers withpre-calibration of new controllerconcepts.
• Sharing OBD expertise within thegroup and contributing to the vision for future OBD/OBMconcepts.
• Playing a key role as an integratorbetween suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop controlconcepts for OBD/OBM monitoring.

Functie-eisen

Theideal candidate will possess:

• An MScdegree in Automotive or MechanicalEngineering.
• Knowledge of EU and NA emissionand OBD regulations.
• Experience with engine andaftertreatment controllerdevelopment.
• Leadership abilities to lead atechnical team and interact with suppliers regarding OBDmatters.
• Experience with Six Sigma-relatedprocesses (DMAIC, Design For Six Sigma, FMEA, MonteCarlo).
• Good knowledge of the requirementengineering process.
• Extensive proficiency inMatlab and Simulink.
• Experience with Doors NextGeneration is a plus.
• Mandatory good Englishskills; Dutch skills are a plus.
