Geophysics Workshop Technician

Job Description

For our Geophysical workshop, supporting equipment preparations and mobilisations for offshore survey work, we are looking for a Geophysics Workshop Technician, based in Nootdorp – The Netherlands.

As a Geophysics Workshop Technician are responsible for supporting equipment preparations and mobilisations for offshore survey work. You ensure functionality and reliability of geophysical survey equipment by performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance. You assess and suggest ways to upgrade equipment for better availability, performance, and capability.

Your role

  • You ensure that specialised equipment functions optimally;

  • You are responsible for the necessary maintenance activities, repairs, new construction of geophysical equipment, and contribute to improvements and production processes;

  • You keep track of maintenance reports, and carry out SAT testing of systems;

  • You support de design departments where necessary;

  • You assist in training and instructing colleagues who go offshore;

  • You learn, improve, and develop new skills and follow training courses to further grow in your speciality.

  • Your track record

  • You have a vocational degree in Geophysical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or relevant working experience;

  • You have experience in writing reports and implementing improvements in manuals;

  • You have the attitude to examine existing processes continuously with the intent to improve them;

  • You strive to deliver projects on time and to high quality;

  • You have a positive attitude, are optimistic, and enjoy working in a team;

  • You have good communication skills and and excellent command of English and preferably Dutch (spoken and written).
