Hybrid Engineer

Hybrid Engineer (Netherlands, Belgium, France)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hybrid Engineer, to join the Six Star Team, providing client support both on-site and remotely.

As a full-time, permanent, Hybrid Engineer, you can expect to work 8 hours per day (including 1 hour paid lunch) between 7am – 7pm, Monday – Friday.

What will you be doing?

Working with our clients in France and Netherlands, you will provide expectational second-line technical support, assisting them with hardware and application problems by phone, email, and face-to-face. You will be fully supported throughout, escalating complex queries to the relevant team member or external support provider for resolution where necessary.

You will deal with, and log, requests for user support from the helpdesk and ensure an efficient, customer-focused response is provided within our agreed SLA’s.

Using your expertise, you will Produce and maintain technical processes, training documentation, and knowledge base articles for our systems and proactively monitor alerts across various systems, to identify and resolve developing problems.

Please note, whilst this role is based within France and Netherlands, there is potential for the successful candidate to travel globally to ensure the delivery of internal projects.

Ideally, you will by bilingual – conversational and written skills in Dutch, French and English, as these will be the core locations of site work.

Whilst experience within the IT Hospitality industry would be beneficial, it is not essential.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential:

  • 5+ Years, Previous experience within Technical Support Role

Desirable:

  • 1+ Years, Previous experience within the Hospitality Sector

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Educated to Degree Level within Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Desirable:

  • Relevant technical qualifications within Microsoft and Networking (ie. MCSA, MCSD, Azure, CCNA)
  • ITIL Certification

Technical Skills and Competencies

Essential:

  • Methodical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Proficient within the use of Microsoft operating systems, including Desktop and Server systems
  • Skilled within the management of Directory, File and Folder permissions
  • Demonstrated capability within Firewall management and troubleshooting (WatchGuard, Meraki, SonicWall, PaloAlto)
  • Possesses previous Networking experience and understanding of Switch configuration/management WAN, LAN, VLAN, DHCP and DNS
  • Competent with Virtual server installation, configuration, and architecture (ESXi, Hyper-V)
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 265 Administration and security compliance
  • Understanding of Cloud Technologies (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS)

Desirable:

  • Proficient within the use of SCCM/Deployment Technologies
  • Working understanding of Property management systems – OPERA, OnQ, Guestline and Brilliant
  • Working knowledge of RMM Tools, such as; Solarwinds N-Able, ConnectWise Automate and ScreenConnect

Other

Essential:

  • English Language (Fluent, written and spoken)

Desirable:

  • French Language (Intermediate, written and spoken)
  • Dutch Language (Intermediate, written and spoken)
