What we do
The SAP Customer Success teams set sales, customers and partners up for success. As part of the EMEA North sales organization, the Value Advisory teams provide strategic advisory in procurement and supply chain to support customer co-innovation, business transformation, and business process performance improvement programs. They lead client engagements to assess strategic goals, innovation scenarios, key opportunities for improvement, and other sources of additional economic value in the area of digital procurement, supply chain and performance management. They conduct strategic account planning sessions with clients, facilitate client workshops, and lead value-based engagements. They partner with field sales teams to identify revenue opportunities, create account strategies, and execute on sales leads. They develop strategies and develop scaled-up initiatives to increase SAP's leadership position in digital procurement. In close collaboration with Pre-Sales, Market Development, Marketing and Sales, we develop and own the value proposition for all SAP Spend Management solutions. Since our growth is mainly fueled by hugely growing cloud business, especially in the procurement and supply chain area, there is a very strong demand for Value Advisory services.
Key responsibilities and tasks
The Value Advisory Associate works with and for the Value Advisory team at SAP in the Netherlands helping them to engage with SAP Procurement and Industry Sales teams and with customers. He / she will receive specific assignments from Value Advisors who will guide the Associate and supervise his / her work. The duties of the Associate include (but are not limited to):
The assistance of workshops and customer presentations
Analyze/ Research our customers vision, strategy and goals through desk research and support the organization in translating/mapping them into capabilities
Understand and apply value-selling methods, benchmarking, and tools to deliver comprehensive value propositions and business content with clear ROI/TCO for customers
The development of Value Advisory content for sales teams
Assisting with the development of industry analysis and benchmarking reports
Liaise with the SAP ecosystem to drive select demand generation activities
Drive innovation in existing deliverables to increase effectiveness
Responsible for analyzing market potential and the SAP position in this market
Collect best practices from other countries and specific learnings for the Dutch market.
Bring fresh, creative thinking to demand generation efforts, recommend improvements in current engagement processes and operations
Through this role you will

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies
Active student status. Currently studying a bachelor's or master’s degree or an MBA at a Business School with a background in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economy or similar field
Fluency in spoken and written English, Dutch is nice to have
Experience working in a transformational business environment and a good understanding of business processes
Business acumen to understand financial reports and build business cases
Good understanding of digital transformation and innovation
Excellent design, presentation and communication skills
Analytics capabilities/ analysis of corporate reports (strategy, balance sheet, annual report) with attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of IT processes, software (mainly Microsoft office)
Procurement & Supply Chain knowledge is a plus
Knowledge or experience of SAP products / services is a plus
Ability to manage and prioritize own workload in context of multiple deliverables with overlapping timelines
Teamwork & Collaboration experience, an open mind, result-oriented, integrity and humor
Inquisitive and unafraid to ask questions, but also suggest ideas and recommend solutions
Ability to proactively seek out resources and information in a complex organization
