Job Description For our office in Leidschendam we are looking for an IT Project Manager responsible for projects within the Europe & Africa region. Fugro is the world’s leading Geo-date specialist, collecting and analysing comprehensive information about the earth and the structures built upon it. IT is a big scope in the work we do and IT projects within Fugro are therefore projects in which you work closely with the business. Change management is often one of your big challenges. Our EUAF IT Team is expanding, looking for you, an IT Project Manager who has experience in getting things done. Your role You help deliver projects through a disciplined approach. The nature of the projects will vary over time, size & complexity, and functional departments. It could be IT projets, but also non-IT projects with a large IT component. The projects will have a significant impact on the organisation and its processes, therefore understanding the business side is key; Your scope is the Europe & Africa region.And you also ensure global projects are translated to regional efforts and implemented in the region; You lead and manage complex projects from beginning to end applying a disciplined methodology (i.e. PMI or Prince2 ). Also you setup / maintain the project plan and budget to monitor and track progress structurally. You proactively monitor risks that threaten project success and define alternative ways to mitigate these risks; You lead in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and aligning resource availability. You successfully and proactively manage the relationship with Steering Committee and stakeholders, supporting in decision-making and advising on improvements. Also, you engage and lead internal resources (cross-functional) and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects; You support the team in creating business cases suggesting improvements to the business; You evaluate and close projects, identify lessons learned and share these with within the team; You advice on and support project (portfolio) management. Your track record You have a relevant Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably complemented with Project Management qualifications; You have 5 or more years of relevant working experience within project management and portfolio management in a large, international organization; Affinity with business processes; You have proven experience leading and managing large and complex projects; You have sound knowledge of PMI and/or Prince2 and working experience in Waterfall. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum is a plus; You are fluent in English, both oral and in writing.
