Functieomschrijving
The Lead Planning Engineer will provideschedule management services to control the construction phase ofthe several projects, until the end of the constructionphase.
He/she will be a keymember of the Construction Management Team.
He/she will join the planning team on the owner’sside.
• Overseeingthe scheduling activities performed by the EPCm contractor, whoprovides planning services for the projects.
• Oversee EPC contractor, who fabricates the largeTank on site.
• Monitoring andmonthly reporting of schedules, physical progress, and forecasts -includes consolidation of all component projects andactivities.
• Monitoring andreporting of KPI’s for intervention thresholds andtriggers.
• Possessing adetailed understanding of the critical paths, and near criticalpath activities always, proactively communicating them for optimumvalue deployment by the project teams.
• Monitoring and monthly reporting of all criticalrelated project’s schedules, physical progress, andforecasts.
• Publishes andreports project progress through an existing set of communicationtools and methods to all stakeholder groups, inclusive lendertechnical advisors appropriately.
• Organises and performs regular schedule riskanalysis at individual projects.
• Perform audits on contractor planning groups toensure a consistent approach is being followed and quality levelsare maintained.
• Mentoring andsupporting planners when needed.
Functie-eisen
• A bachelor’s degree in a technicaldiscipline.
• A minimum of 8-10years’ experience in a process industry production and/orengineering environment with large (>100milj) capitalprojectmanagement experience.
•Thorough working knowledge of scheduling practices for project andfor program.
• Thoroughknowledge of control/monitoring of construction sub-contractors onsite.
• Lead planning roleposition for a large project in constructionphase.
• Global experience offabrication (Middle East, Far East) and construction inEurope.
• Good understanding ofchemical engineering and chemical plantoperations.
• Comfortablepresenting schedule topics to all levels, including to Boardmembers.
• Excellent workingknowledge of Primavera P6 and Primavera Risk Analysissoftware.
• Ability to digestlots of detailed information whilst also stepping back to see thebigger picture.
• Teamplayer.
• Approachable withstrong communicationskills.
