Job Description
As part of the Strategy team, the Strategy Market Forecasting team (known as MA&F) analyst role offers an opportunity to be part of the team guiding Philips towards the goal of improving 2.5 billion lives a year by delivering innovative solutions across the health continuum.
The MA&F team is responsible for building an in-depth understanding of the markets in which Philips participates. The team’s market models and market and competition insights are integral in shaping business strategy and driving the planning process within the company. In this role, your work will (a) directly impact strategic, financial and marketing decisions, (b) deliver underpinned data of our company performance, and (c) be integral in setting company-wide strategy.
Your role:
You will be committed to building an in-depth understanding of the markets in which Philips participates, with a focus on HealthTech
Support comprehensive market sizing and forecasting models
Provide macroeconomic insights to support market modelling, strategy and leadership
Collaborate on a project basis with other MA&F analysts, Strategy, M&A, business development, business groups, and regional organizations
Develop expertise in HealthTech market dynamics and generate insightful analyses for key executives
You are a part of:
You will be situated within the Market Analysis & Forecasting team, which is part of the Strategy Function at Royal Philips. The team is comprised of analysts covering the businesses and activities of the Royal Philips. The MA&F team is the analytical powerhouse within Philips, providing fact-based market models and insightful analyses to key stakeholders across Philips’ business sectors and geographies.
You're the right fit if you have:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Mathematics, Finance/Economics), MBA or other graduate degree a plus
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an analytical role (i.e., equity analysis, strategy consulting, corporate finance, or other relevant employment)
Strong mathematical / financial modeling and analytical skills, detail oriented
Experience in healthcare and/or information technology industries preferred
Ability to organize, facilitate and/or manage a pipeline of different projects
Self-starter willing to take the initiative and progress projects
Builder of personal and professional relationships
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
