Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer for our site in Zwijndrecht (NL). The Zwijndrecht site produces emulsifiers which are sold worldwide and also acts as a distribution center for food ingredients produced by other Kerry sites within western Europe. The role of the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is to optimize the maintenance of production and process equipment, making maintenance more predictable and manageable and reducing production down time resulting from equipment failure.

Key responsibilities

As a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer you will have responsibility for: - Auditing the existing Planned & Preventative Maintenance programme, refining and implementing improvements in the inspection of equipment and the PPM practices.

  • Working with the production teams to perform analyses of assets including, asset utilization, equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life and other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets.
  • Utilize and leverage Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to optimize cost, identify gaps and identify opportunities to improve assets performance.
  • Analyses equipment breakdown history to identify repetitive failures and designs/co-ordinates solutions for such issues.
  • Lead and support analysis of future equipment and systems failures, using problem solving and continuous improvement tools (i.e. RCA, Fishbone, DMAIC and FMECA)
  • Maintaining master data and updating Maintenance Management System (SAP -PM)
  • Utilize KAMPS (Kerry Asset Maintenance System) Process and tools
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Maintenance and Reliability
  • Support the training, assessment and evaluation of site production and maintenance teams.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of industry trends and new technology innovation in Maintenance and Reliability to enhance Kerry manufacturing and operational capabilities
  • Qualifications and skills

    To be successful in this role we are looking for a positive can-do attitude as well as your qualifications and experience as Maintenance & Reliability Engineer. The ideal candidate will ideally have the following:

  • Degree in Engineering, a degree in Asset Integrity Managment or Maintenance & Asset Management is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a similar Maintenance / Reliability Enginering position - Manufacturing industry experience is essential, knowledge of food, chemical industry and food safety compliance is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record building solid working relationships.
  • Strong computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmntal regulation
  • Proficient in RCM, RCA and FMEA
  • Lean & 6 Sigma
