Maintenance Engineer (m/f/d)

Description

You as the Maintenance Engineer will provide support in Equipment Optimization and Engineering Projects for the CHEP Service Centers within the DACH and BENELUX regions

Your responsibility

  • Development and implementation of effective technical systems and strategies prepared in cooperation with the designers, suppliers and in-house know-how,

  • Ensure that safe working practices always come first,

  • Participate in process reliability reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives as a technical expert, to drive performance indicators like PR, MTTF and MTTR,

  • Coordinate troubleshooting and improvements across a broad range of processing assets and equipment like various conveying systems, robotics, pneumatic systems, etc.

  • Ensure CHEP standards are followed and support the CHEP Committee of Standards,

  • Lead or manage various technical projects – typically safety systems or production automation solutions,

  • Collaborate with Operations Excellence, suppliers, peers and service centers to identify and remedy pain points in our automated asset processing solutions.

  • Our requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in machinery maintenance,

  • PLC coding experience is a must (Rockwell advantageous),

  • Experience in pallet or container processing lines would be very advantageous,

  • Experience in project implementation and commissioning,

  • Experience in management of change,

  • Any industrial multi-axial robotic experience would be advantageous,

  • Tech qualification in Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical for example as Apprenticeship, HNC, BTECH or equivalent,

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in any technical engineering discipline,

  • Experience in Maintenance Systems – CMMS, strategies or spares management,

  • Automation engineering experience – AVEVA, Rockwell PLCs, Functional Safety, Machine Learning, Yaskawa/FANUK robotics.
