To make the roll-out possible, specific equipment needs to be developed from concept to end use. You, in your role as mechanical engineer, will be part of the projects & technology team. This team’s goal, together with the operational team, is to develop the technical innovations to make our roll-out goals possible.

What will your mission be?
As mechanical engineer you will be working in the Projects & Technology team and collaborate closely with our Operational department. You support the operational team in understanding and optimizing the existing as well as new production equipment in order to increase the quality of the process and our existing product portfolio. You will work together with technologists from other fields of expertise on creating the way of working for the investigation, development and validation of novel technologies.
What will be your responsibilities?
- prototyping, designing and testing equipment, products and production systems
- Evaluating and selecting new technologies and equipment to improve current production
- Project engineering: contributing to the large capex projects by integrating proprietary and 3rd party equipment
- Develops, designs, evaluates and tests mechanical and electromechanical products, equipment and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods, studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators.
- Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests from our internal client; the operational teams
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Who are you?
- Bachelor's or master's mechanical engineering, or mechatronics
- Experience working in the mechanical engineering field
- Experience in robotics, crate logistics, stackers
- Experience in project management with such equipment (robotics, crates, stackers) is a pre
- Not afraid to put your sleeves up and get your hands dirty
- Superior computer skills, with solid experience in SolidWorks
- Fluent English, both speaking and writing. Knowledge of the Dutch language is an advantage.
