ASML’s Development and Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for the specification, design and integration of the ASML machines. In this sector, the department of Machine Conditioning DUV Scanner (MC DUV Scanner), specifies, designs and does the functional integration of the various (sub-)modules and architectures related to the Flow and Thermal domains. The department consists of discipline- and function-oriented groups where emphasis lies on particular knowledge/skills, architecture or modules in ASML machines.

In this position of Lead Engineer, you are responsible for enabling the function to develop to an overall compliant design of the subfunction and related building blocks.

Role and responsibilities

You are the single point of contact to the competences of the risk areas (example of risk areas: Mechanical, Lifting, Working at Height, Ergonomics,…) that you are responsible for, and you will make sure to have sufficient knowledge to support the assessments and discussions related to those risk areas (continuous competence development on compliancy). You will collaborate with the function architects of the various projects to evaluate risks on product level and support them in bringing the compliancy issues to the regulatory board.

You will maintain the administration on compliancy status per product and sub function and will report on progress to the project managers.

Main responsibilities:

- Be the single point of contact to the competences of the risk areas that you are responsible for.

- Understand and challenge the guidelines.

- Support the teams to use the guidelines.

- Support the teams in the assessments and discussions related to those risk areas.

- Collaborate with the function architects of the various projects to evaluate risks on product level with respect to standards compliance.

- Support the function architects to bring the compliancy issues to the regulatory board.

- Maintain the compliancy SharePoint site.

- Analyze team’s input on compliancy and create reports on compliancy status per product and sub-function.

- Report out on progress to the project managers.

Education and experience

Technical University Masters or Bachelor in Mechanical engineering, or related.

Experience:

- Bachelor's degree with at least 4 to 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering, or Master's degree with at least 2 to 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering.

- Relevant knowledge and experience in working on standards compliance.

- Basic knowledge in flow and thermal domains.

Skills

- Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills.

- Ability to organize work effectively and having a systematic approach in problem solving.

- Ability to provide technical direction, motivate and convince a team of professionals.

- Pragmatic and result-oriented attitude.
