Mechanical Lead Engineer Source Laser Optical Platform
Introduction to the job
For this sector (D&E) we are looking for a Design Engineer for Mechanical Development. As a part of the department Mechanical Engineering the group Source Laser is responsible for the engineering of mechanical modules for the EUV Source Laser system. The Optical Platform ensures high power laser shape and position is according to EUV light generating requirements.
Role and responsibilities
Creating designs together with a team of mechanical experts and co-developer/ supplier in project setting. Working together with design teams of various technical disciplines. Specifics:
Specifies and designs the modules and/or functionality to realize the required performance.
Uses state of the art design methods and construction principles to ensure adequate designs that can be realized from a technical and supply chain perspective.
Drives the qualification of the design by contributing to the specification of tests and the design and realization of test equipment.
Ensures that prototypes are built and tests are carried out.
Delivers the technical product documentation that is needed to release the design for volume production.
For OP frame assy:
Owner of the top 12NC, release of R1 BoM
Leading a development team of 4 internal and up to ~10 farmout
First point on contact (supplier / within project & train) on the technical implementation of the design
Lead in SEG documentation (EDS /TPS)
Concept development & balance requirements for optimal design
Drive detail design and TPD phase of segmented cover together with 1-3 (MDEV) Farm out engineers
Education and experience
Technical University Masters or Bachelor in Mechanical engineering
Experience: ~5-10 yrs (at least 3-5 at ASML) with technical leadership of small mechanical team
3D CAD modeling in NX
Application of:
mechanical construction principles and geometric dimensioning and tolerance
Excellent knowledge in the field manufacturability
Mechanical design principles for optical elements
Skills
Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude
Critical on results
Creative thinking capability
Good communication skills
Good knowledge of English and preferably Dutch language
