Medior/Senior Python Back-end Developer (Team GQM)

The energy transition needs you as a Python developer  

As a Python Back-end Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the department System Operations. You will collaborate closely with fellow Python developers, receiving support from digital infrastructure experts, software architects, and data scientists. Together, you’ll ensure that the applications are fully functional and adhere to our coding standards. These applications play a vital role in optimizing electricity grid usage, identifying anomalies, and proactively addressing them.   • Analysing and optimising database structures and queries to allow high throughput and enable persistence of large amounts of measurement data; 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop REST APIs and Event-Driven interfaces using Kafka, capable of processing large datasets. 
  • Writing clean and reusable Python code that aligns with our commitment to code quality. 
  • Ensuring software quality through unit- and integration testing. 
  • Optimise application performance, maintain software quality- and deployment pipelines and engage in technical discussions to address and meet design requirements.

Our mission revolves around creating an application that reads voltage data from smart meters and automatically detects any abnormalities.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a (Python) developer.
  • Bachelor in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in software engineering, including design patterns, testing, and Devops.

    Based on a 38-hour working week, you will receive: 

  • A gross monthly salary of € 4.274 to € 7.079;
  • An Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% of your gross annual salary. You can use your personal budget for purchasing extra days off or have it paid every month as extra salary. In December you’ll receive an end-of-year bonus of 5.94% of your gross annual salary.
  • The possibility to work from home or the offices in Arnhem or Amsterdam;
  • A Sustainable Employability Budget of €500 per year. This can be used for expenses such as your sports subscription or coaching, as well as ergonomic home office furniture, career development, or professional literature.
