Operations Director Supply Chain - Lichtenvoorde
What you will be doing:
The Director Operations is the head of all Manufacturing at the location, including Production, assembly, operational purchasing and support departments and works closely with those responsible for Manufacturing at other locations within Marel as well as Director Global Manufacturing and the EVP Supply Chain.
The Director Operations will lead the Manufacturing organization at the location in Lichtenvoorde
He/She is responsible for overall production planning, performance on all KPI’s for delivery, quality, HSE etc, working conditions and best practices at the location
In this complex and international environment, the Director Operations focus must be on continuous improvement and innovation of products, processes and logistics concepts; making step changes in some of these areas to bring the factory to a top level location in the industry
The Director Operations is responsible for the way of working in the self-managing Manufacturing teams
He/She adds value to the innovation process through the Manufacturing organization
Looks after the just-in-time delivery of machines and components for sales and service, where the quality of outgoing products is a minimum precondition, as is the safety of the employees and good working conditions
Ultimate responsibility for proper staffing levels and staff involvement, as well as ensuring the continuity of this long-term
Coordinating flows to and collaborating with our new facility in Kunshan, China
Transforming the Lichtenvoorde location into a site driving innovation and industrialization of our products

A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Extensive knowledge and experience with products, processes and materials in a technical international production environment
Extensive experience in an executive position
Deep knowledge of procurement, logistics, production and assembly processes
Strong English skills, both written and verbal
Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
