Physical Design Engineer – Delft

Based in the city of Delft, our client is a machine-learning Semiconductor start-up developing neuromorphic microprocessors for AI applications. They are expanding, seeking a number of engineers to join them, one of which is a position for a Digital Physical Design Engineer.

Here as the Digital Physical Design Engineer you will have a technical lead responsibility, taking care of the RTL-GDS2 flow, including simulation, synthesis, place & route, through to production. You will work closely with front-end ASIC design engineers, as well as the analog-mixed signal design team to interface the digital sub-systems with neuromorphic compute elements, and contribute to the development of patents and IP.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Proven experience with 7+ tapeouts
• A proven background working in Digital Physical Design
• Solid skills within synthesis, static timing analysis (STA) and place & route (P&R)
• A good all-round understanding of the digital ASIC design flow
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a great team-work ethic
