Pipeline Project Manager

As the Pipeline Project Manager at Grip, you will be the driving force behind transitioning to a new, cutting-edge product management system. Your role is essential in maintaining and optimizing this system to ensure the peak performance of our asset production pipeline. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of pipeline development projects, from inception to completion. Your focus will be on delivering these projects flawlessly, ensuring they meet their deadlines and stay within budget. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our capabilities in CGI/Product Visualization directly contributing to Grip's success.

Grip moves classic media creation efforts into the cloud, effectively virtualizing production. The software solution Grip takes care of generating high-quality visuals, at scale, on demand, and based on data. Brand styles, as well as product look and feel are codified, which ensures an entirely consistent, always on-brand output, no matter who (or what) requests it.

Responsibilities

Production Management System

  • Spearhead the strategic shift from the current Jira system to a specialized CG/VFX-centric production management platform.
  • Coordinate the setup and deployment of the primary Production Management System, such as Shotgrid, ensuring its optimal integration into the workflow.
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance and updates of the Production Management System to align with evolving production needs and technological advancements.

Project Coordination and Execution

  • Coordinate with the Pipeline Product Owner and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of pipeline projects.
  • Supervise regular testing of new and improved tools, addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely completion.

Issue Resolution and Escalation

  • Address and resolve operational challenges in the pipeline process.
  • Escalate critical issues and blockers to stakeholders and senior management efficiently.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Maintain high standards in pipeline projects, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
  • Oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring that outputs meet the required standards.

Resource Management

  • Allocate and manage resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Manage team dynamics and foster a collaborative working environment.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status and milestones.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of project details and changes.

  • Possesses great problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complex challenges and finding effecve solutions.

Technical Expertise and System Management

  • Profound understanding of CG/VFX pipeline and production workflows.
  • Extensive experience with Asset Management and production tracking systems such as Shotgrid or ftrack.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver projects to spec, on me, within budget, and to
  • the highest quality.

Project Leadership and Methodologies

  • Prior experience in managing development projects, with a solid understanding of agile development methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both written and spoken English, essential for effecve team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
