Process Design Engineer

We're seeking a skilled and motivated Process Design Engineer to optimize our sorbent efficiency through the design and engineering of a gas-solid contactor.

  • Are you passionate about sustainability and technology development and excited about working in a ClimateTech startup?
  • Have you finished a PhD in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering focusing on carbon capture or equivalent fields?
  • Or have you completed an engineering MSc degree with at least three years of working experience in a research and development role on carbon capture technology or equivalent fields?
  • As a Process Design Engineer, you will work closely with our core team of engineers and scientists to develop models describing the behavior of a gas-solid contact reactor, utilizing computational modeling for fluid dynamics analysis, identifying optimizations, and translating these improvements into our novel direct air capture technology at an industrial scale.

Company Description

ReCarbn aims to capture CO2 at a gigaton scale, thereby helping to limit global warming to 1.5 °C. We aim to filter CO2 out of the air in an affordable and energy-efficient way.

Our ambitious team combines years of experience in carbon-capturing technology and is complemented by commercial business and financial backgrounds. The ReCarbn technology has been developed at the University of Twente since 2012.
