Process Engineer
Nemho is the home of Group R&D for the Broadview Holding materials companies Arpa (IT), Formica (world-wide), Homapal (DE), Trespa (NL) and Westag (DE). Broadview pursues long-term growth and value creation through active support of its operating companies and efficient capital allocation.
With combined sales of EUR 1.2 billion the companies have a leading position in the global market for surface materials. They currently employ around 7,000 employees worldwide. The core product is high pressure laminates (HPL). Applications range from faƧade cladding to kitchens, design furniture, doors and retail interiors. Continuous investment to develop new and innovative products is a key part of the strategy.
Nemho employs over 60 technicians, engineers and chemists responsible for the development of new products and processes and for the continuous improvement of the product quality and production processes efficiency by implementing new and innovative technologies.
Objectives of the role
As a process engineer / chemist, you will be contributing to the new product and process developments in resins, papers and production technologies for the Broadview Materials companies. Based on your insights and together with a diverse team of specialists, you will deliver opportunities for optimizations, synergies and standardizations in the impregnation and pressing processes in our factories and be instrumental in the execution of these opportunities. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of specialists, whereby depending on your experience and skill set, you can lead (sub-) projects for the team. A strong pragmatic, hands-on approach is required to be successful.
Description
We're looking for someone with a Masters or PhD in Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with a strong technical background in polymer/resin chemistry and at least three years of relevant industrial work experience to fulfill this role. Process engineering knowledge, scale up processes, thermosetting resin development and thermoplastics are important areas of competency for this role. Fluent English is a must, and other languages are welcome. Travel of up to 30% is part of this opportunity.
