Functieomschrijving
As part of a highly skilled,multidisciplinary engineering team, the Process Engineer will beresponsible for leading technical efforts to support themanufacturing processes.
Itinvolves working in cross-functional teams including operations,maintenance, engineering, quality and businessleadership.
Primaryresponsibilities include performing (safety) studies and prepareProcess Design Packages (PDPs) and revamping or debottlenecking ofexisting plants along with day-to-day support.
In this position you report to the siteengineering manager.
Responsibilities:
• Plan & conduct development activitiesincluding the process design package / design of new equipment andthe establishment including commissioning.
• Close co-operation with other disciplines likeE&I, mechanical engineering and DCS.
• Support technical bid evaluation and vendorclarification meetings.
• Actas a process engineering resource to identify and aid in executionof capital projects.
• Leadprojects to implement changes to process and equipment to improvesafety, quality, and productivity.
• Facilitate or support root cause analysis ofprocess upsets, equipment failures to identify & implementcorrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Participate in cross functional problem-solvingand improvement teams at the department and divisionlevel.
• Maintain and updaterelevant Process documentation (e.g. drawings, ATEX Hazardous areareports and P&ID’s).
•Provide expertise to scope reviews, HAZOPs, alarm reviews, safetyaudits and investigation teams as required.
• Provide technical support as needed toManufacturing and customer operations for process and qualityissues through troubleshooting and process optimization usingengineering and statistical analysis and basic equipment operatingknowledge.
• Provide projectsupport as a Technical or Process Representative or Leader in bathDesign & Development and New FacilityProjects.
• Candidate mustcomplete all assigned duties in a safemanner.
Functie-eisen
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) inChemical Engineering.
• Atleast 3-5 years, but preferable 5 – 10 years relevant workexperience in the chemical/process industry or Engineering companyrelated experience.
•Functional Safety Engineer (certified) based on internationalstandards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511.
• Excellent team player showing high adaptability,sharing optimism, and having a proactivemindset.
• Good personalcommunications and people skills, customer focused andself-motivated.
•Well-developed analytical traits, easy decision maker and tenaciousin achieving results.
• Goodplanner and organizer with a high stresstolerance.
• Excellent andproficient communicator in Dutch and English.
• Experience with design, drafting, fieldverification, installation, troubleshooting, and problem solving inan industrial setting preferred.
• Experience with front-end engineering andHAZOP/SIL studies.
• Familiarwith ATEX and relevant API/NEN Standards.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented,the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt in afast-paced manufacturing environment and prioritizework.
• The ability toeffectively communicate at all organizationallevels.
• Demonstrate a biasfor action mentality towards making changes that solve problems andhave a positive impact on the process, products, andpeople.
• Candidate has theambition to fulfil a future leadershipposition.
