Procurement Engineer Submarine Cable Systems
As a Procurement Engineer, you work in the DEME office in Breda and support our DEME EPC Procurement department in the procurement of Submarine Cable Systems, Cable Termination & Testing Services and Cable Protection Systems.
You will be preparing and coordinatingrequest for quotation packages (RFQs) through all tender stages.
You will align all relevant procurement activities within a multi-disciplinary EPCI project team (including design team, tender team, contracts managers, technical experts and fabrication managers).
You manage all relevant aspects of the tendering process with the involved supply chain including development and negotiation of all commercial and contractual terms and conditions, technical requirements, project planning and compliance with relevant QHSE standards.
You identify and analyze procurement related risks and opportunities.
You are responsible for the preparation of tender evaluation reports, shortlisting, and award proposals.
You maintain and develop reliable and trustful relationships with all major parts of DEME’s supply chain.
You monitor all relevant industry trends with a view to constantly adopt current best practices and to support our Category Management in its strategic development of sourcing strategies.
You support the Tender Package Manager with all necessary data and analytics for budgeting activities.
You hold a master’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering or management and have at least 5 years of proven experience in procurement and contract negotiations.
Your Industry of provenience should ideally be offshore renewables. Oil & gas or other relevant EPCI project driven industries will also be positively considered.
You are hands-on and able to work autonomously.
You are a skilled negotiator, you are curious, analytical, meticulous and result driven.
You have excellent communicative and influential skills.
You are fluent in English. High proficiency in Dutch, French or Chinese will be positively considered.
You are familiar with MS Office and an expert in Excel and PowerPoint.
Your base will be DEME office in Breda, and you will be available to travel abroad on business trips worldwide when required.
