Join the forefront of cutting-edge technology as a Project Engineer within the European Project Deployment Group at Oceaneering Mobile Robotics! We're revolutionizing Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems with innovative vehicles, advanced control software, and versatile infrastructure designed for both indoor logistics environments. As a pivotal member of our AGV division, you'll spearhead development, design validation, seamless installation, integration, and acceptance activities for our groundbreaking AGV System solutions, ensuring they exceed our customers' expectations. As a Project Engineer, you will be key in helping Oceaneering fulfill its mission to “Connect what’s needed with what’s next”.

Functions 

ESSENTIAL

· Engage Stakeholders Dynamically: You'll lead the charge in rallying all stakeholders to tackle technical challenges head-on, ensuring smooth project execution.

· Direct Technical Teams with Finesse: Take charge of guiding and supervising dynamic teams of engineers, designers, and subcontractors, driving them towards project success. This position will include travel to project sites for extended periods of time for hands-on leadership of installation and commissioning efforts.

· Craft Ingenious System Designs: Get ready to unleash your creativity as you generate intricate system designs, subsystem specifications, and seamless interfaces to support various engineering disciplines.

· Validate and Verify with Vigor: Oversee system validation and verification processes, meticulously planning and executing performance and availability tests to guarantee our solutions meet and exceed customer requirements.

· Manage Technical Risks Proactively : Stay one step ahead by actively managing technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, conducting thorough hazard analyses and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

· Delight Customers with Exceptional Service : Interact closely with customer technical representatives, ensuring their expectations are not just met but surpassed throughout project execution.

· Capture and Refine Requirements Brilliantly : Become the maestro of requirement capture and management, translating customer needs into precise functional and non-functional requirements while seamlessly managing deviations and flow-downs.

· Lead Change with Precision : Write, review, and execute Change Requests with finesse, meticulously documenting and managing customer business needs through refinements and providing clear technical instructions to our engineering and software teams.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

· Innovative Engineering Mindset: A technical bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a master's degree preferred, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of lead engineering experience in deploying complex systems and manufacturing.

· Project Engineering Experience: Proven experience in deploying AGV, mobile robotic systems, or autonomous logistical systems, coupled with exceptional decision-making and leadership skills in a technical environment.

· Master of Time Management: Strong time management and analytical skills, with a knack for leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large volumes of information with ease.

· Communication Maestro: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German are a must.

OPTIONAL

·Experience using project management software, i.e. Microsoft Planner, Jira, etc.

·Understanding of mechanical, electrical and software engineering design processes.

·Experience working in a manufacturing environment, providing understanding of how complex industrial equipment is assembled, tested and deployed.
