Department
The Project Manager is part of the department “Strategic Project Management” (SPM) within the Strategic Product & Business Development (SP&BD) domain. The team currently consist of one head of SPM, three project managers and two project management officers. SPM is responsible for leading strategic multidisciplinary (international) projects in close collaboration with many departments within Robeco, including sales & marketing, investments, product management, operations, IT, compliance, legal and risk. The projects are initiated or requested by the ExCo and generally fall into these categories:
Mergers & acquisitions focusing on the implementation of acquisitions and divestments;
Internal organization focusing on strategic internal restructuring;
Sourcing focusing on Business Process Outsourcing;
Operating model focusing on new business/operating models;
Regulation focusing on the implementation of new or changed regulation with significant and/or cross department impact;
Multi-Year architectural projects.
We are looking for a project manager for the SPM team who can help realize the strategic ambitions of Robeco and manage one or more strategic projects. You are ready for a next step in your career.
Position & Requirements
You have a Master degree in Business Administration, Economics or equivalent with maximum 10 years working experience of which at least 5 years’ experience as project manager within the financial services industry, preferably with a consulting background. You like to work in the highly regulated, content-driven and challenging environment of a sustainable asset manager. You are hands-on, proactive and result driven. You are a strong team player and work together with colleague project managers by sharing knowledge and doing peer reviews.
Manage independently multiple strategic projects in parallel, driving them through execution on time, budget, scope and quality, from analysis to implementation;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage (senior) stakeholders ranging from ExCo, business, IT and 2nd line departments;
Perform consulting / business analysis activities;
Work closely with the Head of SPM and colleague project managers by sharing knowledge and doing peer reviews;
Master degree in Business Administration, Economics or equivalent;
Maximum 10 years working experience of which at least 5 years’ experience as project manager within the financial services industry, preferably with a consulting background;
Strong affinity with, and understanding of, the asset management industry and investment products and processes;
Team player with hands-on mentality;
High level of independence, ownership and stakeholder management skills;
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with team members, stakeholders and senior management;
Strong analytical, communication and consultancy skills;
Highly organized, pragmatic, pro-active and result driven;
Proficient in English (written and spoken) and preferably Dutch.
Start 01-04-2024;
Minimum availability of 4 days per week / 32 hours
