Regional IT Software Manager

We have a position available for a dedicated People Manager , with a scope of 10 direct reports and several external contractors. The team delivers excellent functioning, management and development of Specialty Eyecare IT Software , covering several areas and locations. so you get to work with colleagues from all over the world!

The Regional IT Software Manager is based in the Netherlands responsible for the day-to-day operation and business continuity of all IT software, required for our business and production processes for the locations in The Netherlands, Denmark, Hong Kong, and growing involvement for the UK location as this site moves onto common platforms. The Regional IT Software Manager is also managing the software development team that is responsible for the development and rollout of Visavy ( ecommerce / lens fitting platform) into markets outside Europe such as China, Middle East and North America. Suitable contracting and vendor management regarding IT Software is also part of the scope. You are responsible for handling and cost effectiveness of the IT Software department for the Specialty Eyecare division outside of the Americas

  • Lead IT projects, including design and deployment of new IT systems and services 
  • Lead the development team for a global ecommerce platform
  • Manage the continuous development and alignment of the Dynamics 365 ERP system
  • Coordinate and supervise internal IT Software Developers, Testers and Business Analysts, their development and appraisal
  • Contract management, selection and budget management of external contractors
  • Handle annual Opex and Capex budgets and ensure cost effectiveness for the IT department
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
  • Identify problematic IT areas and develop durable solutions
  • Ensure proper vendor management regarding Software
  • Experience leading and managing IT software projects 
  • Experience in software development, agile development methods and leading software development projects
  • Soft-skills for the management and development of an IT regional department
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Advanced skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Decision maker, problem solver and critical thinker
  • Analytical mind and research orientation
  • Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in Dutch and English
  • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and security would be of benefit
  • Experience of operating in a regulated environment would be of benefit

    • Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in team management
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems management

     

    • Education:

  • Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience 
  • Extensive knowledge of software development techniques
  • Extensive knowledge in IT system management of benefit
