Job Description
:The purpose of the Regional MSE Director role is to ensure performance improvement year on year across all Sites through Mars Supply Excellence standards implementation and MSE capabilities development within Region. This role will assess, develop, plan and implement strategies/solutions as well address cultural, mindset and behavioural change required at all levels of Regional Supply Organization. By leveraging MSE/Digital and Technical tools this role will support the sustainable capability building required to enable a significant shift within entire organisation. Key Responsibilities
Develops and deploys the supply excellence roadmap within MW Europe,CEAB&Turkey region and across all sites
Engages, upskills and facilitates the regional leadership team on MSE
Leads together with his/her team the execution of maturity assessments, progress measurements vs the agreed plan and drives progress on deployment and maturity
Leads and co-ordinate the roll out/roadmap of digital MSE tools based on needs assessment across all Sites within Region to ensure data-driven CI.
Has Accountability for expected financial return of all MSE and CVS-related activities
Develops the Program Management and Governance process for the supply excellence initiatives to ensure transparence on progress and delivery, whilst ensuring availability of capable resources to enable this
Facilitates regular Site’s reviews by Regional Leadership team
Coaches and provides support to Plant managers and Pillars owners in driving change of CI programs, processes, mindsets, and behaviours.
Ensures the regional MSE priorities and needs are aligned and actively supported by the global functional MSE owners
Leads and develops Regional Mars supply excellence team of supply excellence coaches to role model high performance team behaviours. Create a positive work environment in the face of change.
Actively participates in X segment MSE forums / CoPs to share learnings and best practices
Context and Scope
This high-influence position will interface with Associates at all levels and functions across the business. This includes global, regional, and local Associates; TLT leadership teams, and other senior leaders.
The MSE regional Director has accountability and responsibility for the connection, translation and deployment of the MSE Global program in MW Europe,CEAB&Turkey region at 10 Sites.
The position will work collaboratively with the Global/Regional/x-segment Supply Excellence teams, Plant Directors and factory management teams, cross-functionally with leaders to shape, deploy and collaborate in the execution of the MSE strategy and operating plans.
Education & Professional Qualifications
Minimal BS/BA degree, preferably with engineering, industrial / operations management, and or food science qualifications.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
APICS certification desirable.
JIPM or Similar Institution Certification preferred.
Advanced training (obtained either outside or inside) in Food Safety, Associate Safety, Corporate Finance
Knowledge / Experience
10+ years of experience in leading in a manufacturing, supply chain environment.
Deep understanding and demonstrated ability to apply CI (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, etc) principles. Understanding of how the principles impact the entire supply chain (i.e. order to cash cycles).
Demonstrated experience implementing TPM or IWS principles in a large, complex environment.
Demonstrated change management experience, which resulted in moving an organization or site to significantly improve performance.
Demonstrated people and process leadership skills across multi-site organizations. Comfortable operating in a global, regional matrixed environment.
Must be willing to travel 50% of the time.
