We are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Reporting and Data Management Business Analyst for our Finance Division in Amsterdam .

Your impact at MUFG
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Reporting, you will support the Regulatory Reporting Department by seeking effective business solutions to the delivery of new regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives through both automated and non-automated components of existing regulatory reporting processes within the bank.
You will assist in the analysis of stakeholder objectives and the identification and resolution of underlying issues arising from those investigations. You will be able to translate business requirements into actionable solutions to enable IT colleagues deliver outcomes that meet the business stakeholder needs.
In addition, you will also proactively identify potential benefits and available options for consideration and work with business users in designing acceptance tests for new systems or changes to existing systems or business processes.
You will also document and maintain the traceability of requirements through to deliverables on any project, with the aim of ensuring the final delivery meets the business’ requirements.
The role includes the following:
Facilitates Scoping and Business priority-setting for change initiatives of medium size and complexity. •
Contributes to selection of the most appropriate means of representing Business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative, ensuring traceability back to source. •
Analyses requirements for fitness for purpose as well as adherence to business objectives and consistency, challenging positively as appropriate. •
Obtains formal agreement by stakeholders and recipients to scope and requirements and establishes a base-line on which delivery of a solution can commence. •
Manages requests for and the application of changes to base-lined requirements. •
Identifies the impact on business requirements of interim (e.g. migration) scenarios as well as the required end position.
Conducts data analysis activities for projects and across multiple business functions.
Has in-depth knowledge of organisation-standard techniques. •
Plans data analysis activities, selecting appropriate techniques and the correct level of detail for meeting assigned objectives. •
Obtains input from and communicates results of analysis to stakeholders for agreement. •
Designs and performs controls to identify issues including inconsistencies and incompleteness;
Elicits and records business/context rules and confirms them with relevant experts. •
Work with users, review proposed benefits and risks in the new/redesigned processes, confirms the acceptance criteria for these processes, and ensures that they are properly documented in the business justification. •
Specifies and develops test scenarios to test that new/redesigned processes deliver improved ways of working for the end user at the same time as delivering efficiencies and planned business benefits. •
Records and reports test results. Uses test plans and outcomes to specify user instructions and executes system testing herself/himself in close collaboration with key business users.
