As adata platform engineer, you will be working on our data platformnamed Thor. With Thor, we want to create a self-service, metadatadriven data platform where data producers can share their data withthe data consumers without the platform team being the bottleneck.This means that we are working hard to enable our users so they cando as much as possible themselves and we can focus on improving andoptimizing our pipelines and codebase.

• SmartScheduling that dynamically changes data pipeline configurationbased on historical statistics.

This is how you will reinvent foodretail.

• You lead the designand implementation of a scalable data platform architecture onAzure in alignment with the product and platformarchitect.
• You act as the technical subjectmatter expert (SME) and provide guidance on best practices,architectural decisions, and technologyadoption.
• You develop CI/CD pipelines,automation scripts, and infrastructure as code (IaC) templates tostreamline deployment processes and ensureconsistency.
• You collaborate with the technicalleads in the platform and work together towards a Data Enablementsuite
• You mentor junior engineers, conduct codereviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning andimprovement.
• You optimize performance,reliability, and cost-efficiency of data pipelines and analyticsworkloads on Databricks.
• You enable dataproducers with self-service capabilities on our data platformgranting them the freedom to autonomously share their data to therest of the organization for data driveninsights.
• You stay informed latest developmentson technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potentialimpact on our data platformstrategy.

Therecipe for maximumimpact 

• 10+ years ofrelevant experience in software development out of which 5+ yearsof industrial experience in the domain of large-scale data platformteams (building a data product), dataengineering.
• Hands-on experience incl. solidprogramming experience in data ingestions patterns(streaming).
• Curious, proactive, fast learnerable to quickly picking-up newareas.
• Experience with agilemethodologies.
• Perfect communicationskills.
