In our European Operations Center (EOC) in Heerlen we have a (senior) finance analyst position related to cost control and financial analysis on Transportation (Freight & Duty) costs, covering the Western Europe and Middle East & Africa (EMEA) regions. In this role you will be part of the CoE Order to Delivery team, a team of finance professionals working in multiple financial areas around Inventory & Inventory driven costs – Transportation costs being one of them.

A Day in the Life

Actively running financial closing, planning, and preparing forecasts on Freight & Duty costs

Go-to person for financial analysis and explanation of drivers for Finance & Transportation management incl reporting monthly results versus budget

Understanding and translating business processes into accounting events and financial information

Partnering with management in making decisions through complex data analysis

Partnering with business teams to drive operating performance in Transport area

Participating in projects around financial optimization, measurement and process improvements

Must Haves

Relevant bachelor or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics

Minimum of 3+ years of professional finance experience, preferably in an international environment and comfortable with working in cross-functional, remote teams

Willing to take a hands-on approach with high learning agility

Able to handle complex structures and high amounts of data, with commitment to accuracy

Proficient in Excel, able to re-think and understand financial driver calculation models

Perfect command of English both written and spoken

Nice to Haves

Experience in SAP or PowerBI

Knowledge of database structures in general and tools like Access
