The Impact You Will Have
We are looking for a talented Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our fast-moving, lean product development team. Candidates must have a high level of proficiency in web development and a strong understanding of great user interface design and front-end development. This will include wireframing, prototyping, and coordination of product development between backend developers, data scientists, and real estate industry experts to deliver product feature releases on an aggressive schedule via Agile methodologies.
An exceptional level of attention to detail is a must. An ideal candidate will know best practices, can document them, and can work with a dynamic team to ensure all front-end development is performed to those standards.
The Team
You’ll join our core development team which includes 2 Senior Backend Software Engineers, a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, 2 Senior QA Automation Engineers, a Team Manager, and a Product Manager. This is a diverse and collaborative team, dedicated to building high-quality software that drives our Company's success.
The Product
You will be contributing directly to our primary customer-facing product, Client Navigator. Client Navigator is Walker & Dunlop's new premier digital loan servicing solution, developed entirely in-house. It is the means through which our thousands of customers access their loan information, get key documents, and conduct important workflows tasks. You will be responsible for shaping the future of our customer-facing interface and enhancing that experience to better serve our clients. This position has high visibility and impact due to your involvement in one of our flagship products.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and ensure the quality of code in a web application product
Actively participate in the full software development lifecycle from ideation and planning through to development, testing, customer feedback and further iterations
Build and maintain our web application tech stack of JavaScript/Vue.js and Vuex exposed through CloudFront distributions
Proactively suggest improvements across the whole stack
Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, Quality Engineers and other Engineers to expose high quality solutions through the web application
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
5 or more years of web development experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience working with Vue.js, Vuex and ES6
Deep knowledge of testing at all levels, from unit testing to end-to-end
Strong agile mindset, able to iterate fast and give early feedback
Desire and eagerness to contribute to the success of the company and grow along with it
Good communication skills in verbal and written English
Bonus points for
Data visualisation experience
Experience building client facing data applications
Experience in the real-estate domain
