Senior Front-end Software Engineer (Laravel)

This is your role

As a Senior Front-end Software Engineer at TradeTracker.com, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our performance marketing platform. We are passionate about technology and in our development we follow a cloud-native approach, leveraging AWS services, whilst using tools from the Atlassian product suite, and GitLab for our development and deployment processes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by designing and implementing solutions that drive the success of our platform.

Your profile

Eye for detail and interaction: You’re highly motivated to make screens and components look visually appealing. Also you like to work closely with our designers and challenge them (where needed) about design decisions or direction to push for modern designs. Where the technical solutions are there, you advice on nice transitions or SPA like behaviour options.

Advanced front-end skills: Front-end engineering is your thing, so html, javascript and css have no secrets for you anymore and neither has the Tailwind css framework. You also have experience using real-time front-end to backend communication using websockets or simular technologies.

Component library experience: Organization of front-end components is important, so you really need to have first hand experience in working with a front-end component library such as StoryBook or alternatives.

End-to-end testing: You have experience with e2e testing frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright or others.

Apply Architectural Best Practices: We value architectural excellence. You should be skilled in applying best practices to ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of our software.

Domain-Driven Design: Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles is highly beneficial, as our platform deals with complex domain models.
Agile team mindset: Experience working in multidisciplinary scrum teams, actually using the scrum methodology.

Basic PHP understanding: PHP work is done by others, but some understanding of modern PHP code is desired.

API: Experience using API endpoints to retrieve data and send updates.

Docker: We use Docker extensively for containerization so experience with Docker is required.

Why You Rock It:
Webcomponents fan: Ever since they can out you are loving the native style of Webcompents. Nowadays they can be used to speed up your work to make standard elements look easy with limited effort. Whenever the solution is a good fit, you grab them from relevant available toolkits.

Experience with Livewire: If you have experience with Laravel Livewire, you'll be able to contribute to our real-time UI components effectively.

Aiming for Full Test-Coverage: We take software quality seriously. A commitment to achieving full test coverage of front-end code is highly appreciated.

Elasticsearch: Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus, as it plays a vital role in our data retrieval and search functionalities and features.

Join our dynamic team at TradeTracker.com and be part of a fast-paced, innovative environment where your skills will be put to the test. If you're passionate about Laravel and excited about contributing to a cloud-native platform, we want to hear from you.
