Senior Network Engineer, Voice Systems Integration
The Senior Network Engineer should be well rounded in voice and unified communications technologies with proficiencies in relevant protocols and applications.
They should know PSTN/ISDN circuits and infrastructure as well as their VoIP/RTP/SIP counterparts and know how they converge. As a senior member of the telecommunications and contact center team the Senior Network Engineer (voice systems integration engineer) is expected to sustain a high level of productivity in a project and support oriented environment.
You should be comfortable in joint global initiatives involving cloud based solutions. The ideal candidate will value customer service while completing project tasks on time. You will be using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python to efficiently meet objectives such as user management, configuration, and migration as well as work closely with Architects, Analysts, Voice and Network Engineers, and Project Managers.
This role is expected to be able to work outside of business hours as needed.

Responsibilities:
Develops procedures for routine administration, monitoring and maintenance of conferencing and telecommunications infrastructure
Leads root cause analysis process when solving problems and implements solutions that will prevent the problem from reoccurring concentrating on MS Audio Conferencing
Serve as a technical resource to support technological initiatives
Analyze and gather requirements for system configurations changes
Prepare change management documentation
Create and consolidate error reports with regards to system utilization
Analyze conferencing and voice system performance and identify opportunities for optimization
Tracks product updates, features, and functionalities as they become available by vendor
Prepare and deploy scripts needed to manage and support conferencing and voice systems
Work to design, deploy and support IP Telephony initiatives
Support network activities for VoIP optimization
Identify, report and track issues to internal and external teams until resolution in a timely manner
Work in Identify opportunities in cross platform integration to share benefits across systems
Create and maintain technical documentation to be shared with other members of the team
Requirements:
Experience with Genesys Cloud, Microsoft Teams, Audiocodes SBC, Azure, AWS, Carrier SIP over the internet
Technical understanding of VoIP over SIP across LAN, WAN, and over the internet technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting
Administrative knowledge of Windows servers and client operating systems
Proven experience on scripting and markup languages such as PowerShell, Python, and batch/command line interaction.
Administrative background managing various operating system components such as tracing, logging, registry, and network connectivity
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 environment
3-5 years of IP Telephony, implementation, and operation experience
Hands-on experience in TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting as it relates to troubleshooting VoIP signaling and media
Ability to communicate technical and operational-related concepts to a range of technical and non-technical staff
Familiarity with contact center features and functions
Functional understanding of voice gateways, routers, switches, databases, CaaS, SaaS, encryption, and virtualization
