About the Role
Are you a Test Engineer who is passionate about continuous testing and automation? Do you thrive in an autonomous cross-functional team?
As a Test Engineer, you will be part of an Agile “BizDevOps” squad within the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Tribe. The product maintained by the squad is built mainly on Java and Angular technology and is part of large Screening Utility platform which integrates other products.
In this squad, you will contribute to the evolution of the testing framework; and you will have the opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true BizDevOps approach covering architecture, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects.
What to expect
In this role you will:
Lead/collaborate on improving test coverage, release velocity and production health
Team up with the rest of the Squad in instrumenting the workflow to build a comprehensive picture of velocity, coverage and quality
Automate repeated tasks
Write moderately complex code/scripts to test systems, and implement CI/CD pipeline
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
Evaluate and recommend technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed solutions
Prepare operating procedures
Provide technical assistance to colleagues and assist in resolving problems reported by other team members
Develop and maintain technical documentation and prepare and give presentations to customers on systems
Where appropriate, write system documentation and operating procedures
Supporting the delivered software and being part of a 'Center of Expertise' problem solving team
What will make you successful?
Experience & Education
University degree in Computer Science or related disciplines/equivalent work experience
At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position
Knowledge of the following components is essential:
Technical skills:A solid foundation in programming, with strong analytical skills, and competences in algorithms, and software designExperience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to Java and Python.Experience with Automated UI testing tools and techniquesKnowledge of RedHat LinuxKnowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, Cassandra)Knowledge of continuous delivery process and technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible).Experience with SeleniumExperience with JMeterInterest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
